O.K. all you crafty people I need some help here.

My neice who will be 7 loves to sew, and REALLY want's a sewing machine. I figured since she is the kid who has everthing I would get her one for christmas.

I know NOTHING about them but I found this one at amazon and would like to know what you EXPERT'S think!

It sounds like a good machine.

My first machine, many moons ago was a Kenmore. I have since gotten Kenmores of various complexities over the years - for myself and my 2 daughters. I like them. You can go to the store for a demo, get them repaired easily all over the country, get replacement parts and accessories (even for ancient machines), and there is a big range of prices. I did a search, so you could have a look

The little Barbie machine might be good for the 7 yo. To give her a chance to see if sewing with a machine is what she really wants to do. But the 3/4 blue machine looks very good for more versitility and many more stitch choices. It would see her through many years.

I hope this helps.

I checked out Sears the other day Jen and believe it or not the 3/4 blue was the one I was leaning toward.

Thank's for the info!!
