One of these two stones is lapis lazuli and the other is blue lace agate. Can you tell which is which?

Lapis on the left? the last time I had a 50/50 chance, I missed it !
Sure do look alike-with the amount and pattern of white, I would put the one on the right for blue lace agate. I have a small chunk of lapis, but it isn't polished-just love those shiny flecks. The mineral guy stops in yearly at one of the local jewelry stores. and had some wonderful chunks of lapis, most were Way over my budget, but pretty to look at.
The one on the left is Lapis? Have you ever seen colorado Denim Lapis, looks just like light denim, and beautiful also! Annie
Hey Jody, nah I just like them and have a few in a small personal collection.
left lapis i would think but take a magnifying glass and see if you can see ant metal looking tiny pieces in it pyrite is a sure giveaway
KMITCH, you are right...what you show is blue lace agate. I would hazard the the one on the right is sodalite. In fact, they both have so much white I would have guessed they were both sodalite. ChuLin
I thought Sodalite as well. I have a large mineral collection and
all of my lapis is darker with little or no white.I don't collect
polished stones though so that may account for the difference.
Both very pretty.
Love the blue lace agate pendant. Lately I've been adding
pendants with some of the same stones as my mineral
collection. They take up less room and I can wear them!
