Color Plays III

Divernon, IL(Zone 5b)

These pics are of multiple cut, shaped, and cleaved stones in various groupings enhanced by colored backgrounds and bases and different types and intensities of light.
The first one is a bottom-lite photo my wife had blown up and mounted.
First the photo, then the mount.
Left crystal is quartz (rock crystal), the largest stone is reticulated quartz, the reticulated crystals trapped within the slighty smoky quartz are hairlike crystals of rutile . The foremost stone is another reticulated quartz piece that has ben facetted. It is backed by a rhombohedral cleavage of Iceland Spar (a refractive calcite). The crystal to the right is quartz with 3 phantoms.
