i'm pretty sure that this is some kind of xanthosoma, not alocasia

this picture is of a ''Xanthosoma sagittifolium'' notice how leaves are parallel to the ground and leaf points are growing toward the ground. Even in zone 7-b theses puppies will reach toward 9' if given ample water and LITE ferts. Leaves are also more of a matt finish, where alocasias have glossy finishes.
