What a beautiful shade of blue. I have always wanted to try gentian but just haven't got around to it. Did you start this from seed? Is it difficult to grow? Thanks for sharing your photo.

Hi broots! Yes, I love the blue and how large the flowers are. I got this one mail order from Alpines Mont Echo in Quebec. It's about 6 years old! It would be perfect in a trough I think, but I'm too scared to mess with it, as it's happy in it's sunny and well drained spot in the rock garden.

That's beautiful, such a lovely shade of blue I always wanted to try them in UK, but now I am in Florida it might be a bit too hot. So I will just admire yours instead.
