Sugarweed is right about the fishy stuff,But you could always build a small pond and add a few goldfish and get it for free,(thats the excuse I used to get a pond Hehehe)
New thread on New babies for Newbie!
Georgia, you are a bad influence. We have already decided where to put the pond. It will be a later project, but it will be done. I envision a weeping cherry, cannas, and EE's everywhere with tropicals blooming all around. Just got a quote on removing the trees around it to let the sun shine. I think it will go here (pic left side). We are also putting up a fence for privacy.
How's the pool idea coming?
Sugar, I think both ideas can be incorporated. Less water but add fish emulsion. Georgia, just empty your pond and send my way.
Georgia, you are a genius and a jewel. I love it. How on earth did you do that? Now to add the weeping cherry and tropical flowers.
you'll have to add your own tropics and cherries LOL,I "borrowed" your photo and cropped one of mine into it and soften the edges to blend..............
WOW! As I was looking at Traci's photo, I was trying to imagine. And there in the very next post.... Voila'! Phaedra's brought it to life! Incredible photojob there!!! I love it!!!!
Hope the babies are doing better Traci. I know that under your care they will thrive, thrive, thrive!
They are really doing MUCH better. I am going out today and to catch some fish and emulsh them. Wish me luck. I will check back this after noon. BTW, Have had almost 1000 its on the thread. How exciting!! More addicts are on their way!!!
Thanks for the compliment, jadajoy! I was trying to find a unique name when signing up for an account, and was looking at fairy names, so it's a combination of names used for fairies :)
I just caught Traci's post, and YES! Morgana was the villaness to Guinevere's heroine! Astra has a sort of celestial feel to it, and I can't remember exactly where Morgaine came from, but it was a fairy name. I had the pleasure(and pains) of putting in a pond last year, and this year we have goldfish babies! I'm SO excited! The pond is about 2,000 gallons, and 3-4 ft. deep in the middle, so I'm hoping they overwinter well. Their parents sure made it through ok. I'm intrigued by all of this fish emulsion talk, and how would you procure some from your pond?
The Dr. is in the house and doing the happy Dr. dance. The babes are looking great. In fact two of Auntie Lala's have already recovered, Kingsworld and Lime fern?. Aunt Janet's have lost three heads, but I am very hopeful for them. I know they are rooted and if La's made it (no offense Lala, it was the PO fault) then I have confidence in the others. I will post pics of the amazing recovery of Auntie Lala's and all other babes.
ALSO BIG SURPRISE!! You have to wait till the end. Like I have been told, gardening takes patience and patients. HAHA.
Right after I checked on them when I got home at 12:30 a.m., it started to RAIN. ~~singing~~ It's raining here, HALLELUIAH! It's raining here, HALLELUIAH! Yes I am wet from dancing in it but I think I needed the refreshment of it as much as the plants.
I have also emulshed the babes. Wow, I thought my antiseptic wipes for prep were strong. That stuff is potent!
Pink Floydd has still not made it. They keep promising me they will come. I hope they drop by soon. Alice, who is going to play drums at the reunion for Led, Bonham's son?
Alrighty fellow compeers, here we go! First up, Aunt Jada's.
Edited for mistakes. Hey, I may be a doctor, but I am not perfect!!

Now for the Miracle Babies, Aunt Lala's. These tinies have been through it all. Unscrupulous government agency, drought, over watering, decapitation, and yet they are fighters. Lavender Lace, Kingsworld and Max have come back to their senses after loosing their heads. Truly amazing children.
First up, Max! (please avert your eyes to the right of the pot!)
Edit for atrocious spelling.

And now for the surprise. WE HAVE A NEW BABY!!! While visiting a nursery today, the good Dr. got to meet the owner of this amazing place. He took the doc on a tour of the facilities. After telling him my profession as a Dr. he asked if I could take care of his little ones. She's a beauty. She is shy and hasn't given the doc her name yet. If any Specialist know who she is, please let me know. For now she is Cherie. Say hey, Cherie to all your new family.
That is all for today. Please visit the Coleus Chatters for more exciting pictures of some beautiful adult Coleus. Until then...
Respectfully Administering Aid,
Thank you Dr. Georgia. I was beginning to think this was a thankless job, but you have renewed my vigor.
Hi to you also Cherie, you're a cutie!
Hi Traci, yes you guessed right - it's Jason Bonham who plays the drums. DH and I are going to London in November to hang around the venue when LZ plays, tickets or not.... we'll be tourists there for 4 days - but I guess no coleus will be found at this time of year.....sigh.
More culture: Yesterday we went to a 2 hour concert performed by the Canadian acrobatic, dance, visual art and music group Cirque de Soleil here in Stockholm. The tickets were rather expensive, but the show was fantastic so it was absolutely worth it!

Woooooohooooooooooooo Dr. P, Those babies are looking gooooooooooooood!!!
I have no doubt where to take my tired, my hungry, my poor. If you can revive those poor wretched souls, you are a miracle worker indeed.
No wait. That was Anne Sullivan.
I seem to be spitting out my history lessons a litte Willy-Nilly here. Or was that Willie-Nelson?
No I'm pretty sure it was Pink Floyd.
No it wasn't, it was Pink Chaos. (See? I knew I'd get back to coleus sooner or later).
Well there is a link, my friend, to Anne Sullivan. I am from Sheffield, which is part of the quad cities. Quad cities include Tuscumbia. I have a good friend Chad Keller from Tuscumbia. Chad's family is directly related to Helen Keller. Helen Keller is from Tuscumbia, where Anne Sullivan did the whole water thing. I have a bird house hanging in Helen Keller's yard I made in my 5th grade g/t class. It is right next to the well in a tree. So in essance, I played Anne in the Junior high production. In essance, I am the miracle worker. So you were right on target. :^P
Spookie, Spookie, Spookie. I sang that in my head and it sounded much better than it looks.
Dr. - I have more patients if you would like them - have to do some hair cuts soon on my pots - d-mail me if you are interested.
Take 'em Traci. Then you can send me their offspring in the spring! :D
To all who have watched the hospital, I must tell you, it has been tough around here. Several of the babies got their head eaten, yes eaten off. I am going to try some eastern medicine handed down to me from Dr. Cbranden our newest Specialist who has studied with the Solenostemon tribe of Colucoleus Island. As all fellow collegues know, sometimes these mysterious, albeit unusual, practices have provided miraculous results. I will not show photos of the babies now, as I do not want to distress the families. For now the hospital is off limits to visitors, but I have heard rumor that several new patients from different families may be joining us soon. I will update all concerned family and friends as soon as I have more information. Please let me go contemplate in silence on memorizing these foreign chants. I appreciate your understanding at this critical time.
LOL....You always put a smile on my face when I read your posts! Even though this one sounds serious! LOL I'm still laughing!!!!!
You have a very vivid imagination!
(whispering) kinda like Ace bandages. I thought maybe some of them could use a little extra support. :-)
Janet, I just had to run to the restroom. I visualized the little ones with them on.
Brina, don't you know? That is Coleus head holders! Keeps their heads on while looking fashionable at the same time.
The question is, where do you get bandages like those. Such pretty colors for my colorful coleus.
Their kids! they will love them. Going to put them on right now.
