SOLVED: Stick tights? Beggars lice? Just a pretty plant?

Deep East Texas, TX(Zone 8a)

I have been watching this pretty, low growing plant on the dam (new dirt work last Sept) and don't remember seeing it before. The foliage has pretty leaves in threes. The plant has a low profile, not laying on the ground but sprawling prostrate...

The flowers are miniscule. I have had trouble photographing them but they open blue and turn to purple.

And now I see the seed pods. They are sticky and will stick to socks, pet fur, whatever. They favor what I have called beggars lice or stick tights.

Any thoughts on what this plant might be?

Desmodium. Not sure which species. "Beggar's lice" and "stick tights" are indeed some of the common names.

Desmodium it is. (sounds like a diarrhea remedy lol)

I guess I was a portion of the way there with the common monikers. I only guessed at them when I saw the seed.

Macybee ~ I don't know which Desmodium this is... wouldn't know where to post a photo. http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/adv_search.php?searcher%5Bcommon%5D=&searcher%5Bfamily%5D=&searcher%5Bgenus%5D=desmodium&searcher%5Bspecies%5D=&searcher%5Bcultivar%5D=&searcher%5Bhybridizer%5D=&search_prefs%5Bblank_cultivar%5D=&search_prefs%5Bsort_by%5D=rating&images_prefs=both&Search=Search

I did find some photos in Plantfiles that the bloom is similar... http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/go/71406/ and all the photos are much better than I could do with my prehistoric camera. Not to be unkind but I think I better pass. pod
