Do I want katydid nymphs

Chicago, IL(Zone 5b)

on my coneflowers? Someone in the insect ID forum thinks that's what this little guy is. I'm not anti-bug but I don't want something eating my coneflowers. Last year I had a total of one bloom because we had a bunny nest in our yard. This year the bunnies have moved away and I'm hopeful for more blooms, but will this little nymph damage my plant? TIA!

He may take a bite or two out of your plant. These are known to bite into leaves or blooms, but they generally don't do a lot of damage to coneflowers. Look at your plants in the morning and evening. If you notice anything, then you can spray. However, this doesn't look like any major threat to me.
