Kaelkitty's Journal: JFC0202 Leuchtenbergia principis

Initial Notes:

I acquired this plant in 1977 from Mr Walter Reppin. It was growing in an 8cm square pot and just about filling it with its tubercles when I purchased it, so it was probably at least 4 years old at the time of purchase. This would make the plant about 40 years old now. It has been flowering annually since about 2006. The flowering season can be as much as three months long - usually late December to the end of March.
