Kaelkitty's Journal: JFC0138 Cereus hildmannianus subsp. uruguayanus f. monstrosus

Initial Notes:

I originally had this plant named as Cereus peruvianus f. montrosus, mostly because that is what everyone told me it was! This was another of my early acquisitions when I joined the A&CCC and it was about 3 feet tall in July 1980 when I repotted it into a large 30cm bin style pot to match my other large Cereus. Unfortunately it died in the mid 1980s like the other plant (See JFC0098) due to a bad choice of original location for the pot in question (too shady, too damp, and no airflow) - memo to self: Do not put large pots in inaccesable corner locations!
