Initial Notes:

The finest and most sought after of the Borlotto types! Unlike most Borlotto varieties Stregonta has longer Kidney shaped seeds that are slightly flattened, flesh colored, with reddish striations. A hardy variety that adapts to almost any soil type producing long slighlty curved pods, each containing 6 to 8 seeds. Highly productive if kept picked but famous not only for its dry beans but as eaten fresh upon picking when pods are plump and bright red with white.
