got this plant in 15 gal pot today from Lincoln st nursery in Pasadena... nice plant but am just guessing at ID. Will put in planter 11

sort of fighting a fungus... wish it saw the sun more than 4 months a year... will, if makes it another year, will be tall enough to maybe get 6-7 months of sunlight.

flowers appear to be damaged by cold... weird color and tapering off... plant itself seems OK though many others were melted by 27F

flower is not totally killed off... looks like part of it may develop normally... the other one is gone.

this time wired up plant... still leaning a bit, but much less, and less likely to stretch over time. Rubber-coated wire. Clearly plant has split in two now.

this head always makes a weird flower... this one only 2/3 matured... and has a nice curve to the lower half.

really bad case of mealy bug, treated with sevin and several other poisons.

pruned off the large drooping branch and hacked off about half the leaves on remaining rosette... and then propped plant back up towards vertical.

finally three healthy flowers... only they zipped through the flowering stage in a big hurry... almost missed them
