I cannot guaranty the color on these they were all propagated from four I sent my mom over 20 years ago.There are hundreds now and some have bud mutation changes and also the color seems to be affected by soil type. most are as pictured some lavender, a very few are blue or white.

This grows wild here we live on 4 wooded acres and they are everywhere I collect both the berries and small seedlings as they come up in the garden I add chips as mulch that are made from tree and brush trimmings and often have berries in the mulch. not a fast grower; very aromatic; heartwood red with outer wood white and is used extensively in wood crafts here. wood is rot resistant and I use branches for garden stakes and trellis.

Plant can be invasive but does great on a fence if kept in check. Have a slope covered so have plenty to trade I know that they are blooming as the hummingbirds don't come to the feeders as frequently when in bloom and it has a srtong somewhat heady scent. flowers open white and turn cream.
