When my Mom passed away, none of my siblings was interested in her garden arch. I took it and planted purple hyacinth beans on it. This year they pretty much obliterated the arch.
After a fire burned down our outdoor furnace house, the furnace, and the woodshed, we built a pergola on the site. It is glorious with all the hanging plants and wisteria climbing up and over the top.
