Smoke House Spagetti

3/4 # spagetti (12 oz) broken into small pieces
1 medium onion, chopped
1/4 cup bacon, cooked and crumbled
1 pound ground beef
1 16 oz. jar spagetti sauce
1 1/2 tsp salt
1/8 tsp pepper
1/2 tsp oregano
1/2 tsp garlic salt
1 can (4oz) sliced mushrooms
1/4 pound shredded mozzarella (1 cup)
1/4 pound shredded sharp cheddar (1 cup)


Saute bacon in skillet. Add onion and ground beef. Brown. Stir in tomato sauce, salt, pepper, oregano, garlic salt, and mushrooms with liquid. Simmer 15 minutes. Cook spagetti in boiling water until tender. Drain. Stir into sauce. Place half the mixture in a buttered 2 quart baking dish. Top with half the mozzarella and half the cheddar. Repeat layers. Bake in 375 degree oven 20 to 20 minutes or until top is gold and bubbly. Serves 6 to 8
