Raisin Cooked Frosting

|2 cups sugar|
1 container of half & half
1 1/2 cup raisins
1 tsp. vanilla
|Cook raisins first for 10 minutes; then drain liquid.|
Cook half& half and sugar to soft ball stage.
Add raisins and vanilla.
Beat until cool.
Spread on a 9x13 in. cake.
|I received this recipe from my aunt,Ida. When I would come to visit,she would always make me a chocolate cake with this icing. When I got old enough,she gave me this recipe. So in her memory,I submit this recipe to her.|
