Perfect Pie Crust

By haighr

Category: Breads, rolls, and pastries

3 cups flour
3/4 cup crisco OIL (yes, I said oil)
3/8 cup milk
2 tsp. salt

This recipe makes two crusts.

Mix all ingredients into ball, (add extra drops of milk or oil if necessary to get a slightly moist consistency)
Separate into two halves,
Place one ball onto a sheet of lightly floured wax paper,
Using side of hand, push down on ball in a tic-tac-toe design,
Cover with another sheet of wax paper,
Use rolling pin to roll dough between wax paper,
When finished rolling, remove top sheet of wax paper,
Invert rolled pie dough while on wax paper over pie pan,
Remove wax paper - Voi' La'
For pre-baked crust just pop in 450 degree oven about 10 mins.

  Extra Notes
My mother stopped making pies thirty years ago after tasting my first one - this is a no fail method - I get delicious, flaky crust every time.
