County fairs and harvest festivals have long been a great way for friends and neighbors to have a bit of friendly competition and good fun. Even in the 21st Centurty they're still popular events. We take the County Fair one step further with our own take on the celebration and our world-wide community. Our Pixel County Fair is for gardeners from all walks of life and areas. Even city dwellers will find some categories where they can show off the fruits of their labors. The 'Best of the Garden' was once again a huge success and there's no doubt that we have the most talented and creative group of gardeners right here in our community!

Winners receive a one year subscription to Dave's Garden and a virtual blue ribbon for their profile page. We have at least three different countries represented in the winners and runners-up groups and even more from around the world entered the best of their landscapes, crafts and harvests. This special showcase spotlights the winners and by clicking on each image, the link will take you to the page where you can view the full-sized picture along with the runners-up. We've posted the winning recipe here and this link to the Cooking forum will take you to the thread where you can see the other scrumptious recipes as well. You'll need to be logged in to view the other recipes, so contact the Helpdesk if you need assistance.

Dave's Garden hosts several contests every year and we hope that you'll join us in this competition among friends. The Invasive Species photo contest is in the early spring, our Annual Write Off follows shortly after and our annual Photography contest starts in a couple of weeks from now. The Photography Contest is by far the largest competition with an average of over 3,000 entries from many countries around the world. Winners are featured on the Dave's Garden calendar and it is a treasured keepsake that we offer to our members each year. This contest is just around the corner, so start gathering your images; it will be here before you know it!
