Non-biting Midge (Chironomus plumosus)

Taken on 17th June 2007. It was on the shed door, I have seen it in other shady places. It's almost like tissue paper!

The side view, it has noticeable plumed antennae but is really quite a small insect.

Taken on 28th June 2007, in the greenhouse. They come in different colours and sizes, according to their habitat.
