Very large female, with friend, in my woodland garden, mid-summer.

Lady and suitors.

This one bit me on the neck. Not very bad pain. Moved her to new location.

I found this in Sneads Ferry, NC on a very large web in some trees/underbrush, up high. 3.5-4" w/ legs

Charo... My first banana spider. The zigzag appeared couple days after I spotted her. Is that usual??

Discovered by accident, when trying to brush away what turned out to be a very STRONG webline that didn't snap. Imagine finding this HUGE spider overhead!

Topside of Female, found in the woods close to Sour Lake, Texas. These can be found throughout the woods.

Female - Underside of Spider as she's eating her lunch. She's about 2 1/2" long.

Golden Orb Weaver

Charlotte showed up on our porch, scared us, but we left her alone. Her mate came and disappeared (she ate him?) and as you can see she is pregnant.

Charlotte before she got pregnant.

My post still shows me in La Porte, but am in New Caney, TX. Here she is. kscha

Took this picture of in litchfield beach, South Carolina in small lookout tower..8/10. I think it is a Golden silk Orbweaver from doing some research.
