found in the cellar where old woodlogs are stored
no stripes on its legs unlike the very similar Lithobius variegatus
Taken on 7th November 2008, Lincoln UK. I found it dead indoors.
The antennae curling back over it's head.
They have about 15 pairs of legs, with the same number of body segments underneath but fewer segments on top.
The mouth has large pincers curling in from the sides, it looks like there are two pairs of them!
Taken on 19th December 2008. This is a young one, I found it in a container which I had put a plant in to overwinter inside. Length approx. 15mm.
