Large Milkweed Bug on a Pearl Milkweed Vine Seed Pod
I just think it's So funny how I can have one little Butterfly weed plant hidden way up on my porch, and this Milkweed bug can find it. Also those pesky little yellow aphids too. (sigh)
This one was found clinging to a Mexican Milkweed seed pod.
Found on Asclepsias tuberosa in late July, 08
All different ages from juvenile to adult.

Apparently Milkweed Bugs also like Oleander seed pods.
Large Milkweed Bug (Oncopeltus fasciatus) on a milkweed plant at the local reservior. There were at two of these guys on this one plant. I didn't check the others to see if there were more.
