I see this hummingbird is found in Equador, but Iím sure it is also in the US? I saw one with itís amazing coloring flitting about the 12-foot blooming stalk of my Agave Filifera. The hummingbird was too fast for my slow camera reaction, but Iím positive this is what we saw. We were so taken with the unusually beautiful coloring, that when we opened the Daveís Garden article we knew it was the bird we had seen.
