If they stay along the rivers and oceans, no problem. They are very funny to watch, especially when they are drying/warming their wings. I live in Florence, OR, home to the Siuslaw River and Pacific Ocean. We have hundreds. They will, however, over time, kill any tree they inhabit, their poo is very, very toxic. We've some trees along the river completely bare now because of them.
