This is one of two American Crows that visit us. In this photo it's helping itself to some shelled peanuts we put out for the Blue Jays. We enjoyed the new company, but not the Blue Jays!

Juveniles have blue eyes that darken to brown as they mature.

My daughter and I had a good laugh when we saw this crow with its bill full of marshmallows while we were camping in Jasper Nat. Park, AB, Can.

The baby crow had apparently just left the nest and the parents were squaking loudly as I took a few pics.
