I have one of these plants at my house. It is incredibly hardy (or just lucky). Our small tree (about 1.4m tall, 8 years old - dry area, competitive) got dug up and left out in the open for about a week, then was eventually replanted. Months later, it started to shoot new leaves from the main stems. Amazing.

The fruit is an unusual flavour, mild and a little bland with leathery inedible skin.
