Never had these plants before and now I wonder how I ever managed without them. Vincas are the most heat/sun tolerant that I've ever seen. I have containers of them in full afternoon sun. No pests bother them, they're in constant bloom, the colors stay fresh, and the leaves are a gorgeous dark waxy green for contrast. When it gets too hot and they wilt a bit, just give them some water and back they come for more. Perfect!
