SweeTango™ hold the Guinness World Record for the loudest crunch of an apple because they have large angular cells, which explode when you bite into them. Available January to May, it is one of the first apples of the season. John & Paul Paynter brought this variety back from The States in 2004 to their Yummy Orchards in NZ. Ten years later they had their first crop. SweeTango™ is a natural cross between the Honeycrisp & Zestar apple varieties with a sweet and tangy flavour.
