This plant will freeze to the ground in zone 8b--but will return and is root hardy in Houston. Forms a shrub and can reach heights of 4-6' and widths of 4'. It is extremely easy to root from herbaceous stem cuttings taken any time of year and blooms primarily in the late fall, winter, and early spring for me when little else is blooming. Definitely provides winter interest if isn't nipped by frost early in the winter.
