Stately palm with drooping leafets and long deep green to turquoisey crownshaft from the Fiji Islands, where it grows on steep slopes. In its native habitat, it often develops long stilt roots to help support it on the steep slopes. However, I have not seen those in cultivation. This palm has been attempted many times in southern California, but so far no luck.
