Kinh Gioi is a popular Viet herb used in soups (pho), and thrives in humid tropical climates. Of a hundred or more seeds from one source sown both outdoors and indoors, only a few seedlings appeared, all germinating simultaneously after 2-3 weeks. Meanwhile, seeds from another source sprouted in abundance. This indicates seed may be short lived. I suggest sowing an abundance of seed if a clutch of plants is desired.

Seedlings grow vigorously in a warm, sunny location in consistently moist, fertile soil. Healthy plants reach about 4 ft (1m+) in height, bloom (purple) profusely, and reseed themselves efficiently.
