One of several snake plants located in a nice gentleman's yard decorated for Christmas. (San Antonio, Tx.)

Snake Plants growing wild under continuous salt spray from the ocean, next to the sand dunes in Cocoa Beach, Florida (Zone 10a). They grow equally well in tap water.

Blooms in Feb. with creamish flowers.

This is the fruit.

This snake plant is approximately 40" tall.

Dense patches of Snake Plants are very common here. This one is one of many at the edges of the sand dunes, about 20/30 ft from the ocean in Cocoa Beach, Florida (Zone 10a).

Snake plant

From dirt base to top of the tallest leaf, 4feet. This is over 40 yrs old.

Many variations in color and pattern are seen in the several plants in this pot.


Naturalized in coastal hammock near sea, A1A, park, se FL.

This is the first time I have ever had a snake plant bloom! I was so surprised to find out it is not unusual.

This Snake Plant was given to me a few months ago. There was only one leaf when I first received it. Now there's two more growing beside it. I think it's a beautiful plant.

A house plant here in Iowa; yellow edge appears only on divisions. Cuttings will revert back to all green.

Sansevieria trifasciata in bloom, mid-June.

Is easy to grow. Mine is now about 12 years old.

Not particularly a favorite of mine but I do have a few in containers.


Blooms have a slight sweet scent.

This plant has been in this same pot for about a decade, stays outside zone 9b FL likes shade best.
