Dwarf pomegranate growing in West Palm Beach, Florida.
Raw fruit - HUBG - 8.2.2003
These seem to bloom all the time.
Bright reddish-orange trumpet-like single blooms are followed by 2 to 3 inch fruit. The plant blooms when it is only one foot tall which makes it an excellent bonsai plant. Shown in April. (San Antonio, Tx.)
This bloom is on its way to becoming a fruit. The small dense shrub which can easily be grown in containers bears fruit freely in Zones 8 and above. In more temperate zones it may bloom sporadically, but seldom produces fruit because it does not have time to develop during the shorter growing season. Shown in April. (San Antonio, Tx.)
This has been covered in blossom since mid April and is still at it despite being covered in fruit.
A fruit worth waiting for!
All her little branch's have buds!
Western Colorado Botanical Gardens food-plant corner.
Nice compact shrub that grows up more than out. Grows very well with very little water (PHX, AZ)
I just received this Dwarf Pomegranate 'Nana' from Forestfarm Nursery
Arils are white, not red, on my nana pom. Very tart! Will wait another month or 2 before harvesting more fruit. Richmond TX, z9a, 08/225/2012
