Open on 3rd June 07. I have started it in a pot in a semi-shaded greenhouse.
The petals curl over each other covering the back. It has a strong scent similar to Lily of the Valley.
The bulb received 23rd January 2007.
All three open, one had to turn it's head to face the rising sun. There is a whorl of leaves at the top of the stem, other leaves are alternate but almost opposite.
The filament ends are very thin, perhaps so the wind can shake pollen from the anthers. The stigma is spotted, it collects moisture presumably to enable transport of pollen.
