I have this wonderful little plant coming up all over my yard and in digging them up I had the oppertunity to get a good look at the roots. This is how they look almost like a carrot/

See nothing? that's b/c caterpillars have devoured it, usually a 48 hr process. Not worries, plant recovers in two weeks.
