This vine can be massive, and need a strong support. The big flower is on the top. Rio de Janeiro Botanical Garden, early spring.

We planted a rooted cutting in 1995. the foto was taken in 1997. fast growing;needs constant prunning to keep it in bounds.we love it.

This huge Cup of Gold Vine (Solandra maxima) had only one bloom open - I was lucky enough to see it! (Observed in the parking lot of the Kula Botanical Garden in Maui)
