Unicorn Plant in Florida

Devil's Claw in summer.

Dried seedpods and seeds.

Seed pods on plant.

Texas native flower that grows in all regions of the state.

First bloom on this young plant.

This is the seed contained inside the claw. The claws split, but you still have to pry open some of the pod lining to get all of the seeds

JJsgarden and Windy's pictures are great, I just wanted to add this one with a reference. These are large seeds!

Devil's Claw

Has been reseeding itself politely in my garden for almost 20 years. Never invasive for me. Smells incredible to me. VERY sticky. Tolerates wet feet or no water at all.

Showing the sticky dew on the buds.

Sticky dew on the leaves.

Seed pods from last year.

Proboscidea louisianica

Flower from the plant in my garden in Central MN this year.

Dried pods make fun sculptures
