The first bloom of the year is usually the best, depending on weather sometime from May - June. Blooms begin to decline after 5 or 6 weeks and it should be sheared severely to promote dense growth and rebloom in late summer.
The late summer bloom is never as heavy as the Spring bloom, but lasts from August until November.
