Elagans

Specimen growing on the north side of my house.

Elegans in foreground. Planted from small nursery stock two years ago. It grows very quickly.

This is two pix above and side

This is same plant in bloom 5/27/02

2 year old Elegans hosta, Zeke stuck in his head for perspective

Elegans, planted 1988

Picture taken on 6/19/05 3 year old Elegans growing in rocks above my pond - soil stays fairly moist.

Hosta 'Elegans' started sprouting this week in late April in Northern Virginia -- well after our 'Ginko Craig'

The corrugation makes for some lovely sunset-backlighting.

This is a very impressive foliage plant with few insect problems. It shows well with variegated Goutweed.

Blossoms, Jun 18 2006, zone 7b. This one sets pods fast!

Sieboldiana Elegens sets lots of seed pods. Pic taken 28 Jun about 10 days after flowering. 2006 zone 7b.

Sieboldiana Elegens seed pods early July 2006. Pods darken as they age, and get that waxy bloom on them.

Spring 08...Good grower. Nice blue…One of my favorites… Can’t have too many of this one…

Love this one!! This is it's 5th year in this location and leaves bigger than my head!

a thumb at the bottom of the picture gives you a sense of the enormous size of the leaves. this plant is 4 years old
