First flowers.... in 2007

The white spots are the pollen.

Free flowering vine that loves the heat and humidity of late summer Tokyo. Possibly invasive, but charming none the less. A favorite of Japanese Swallowtails.

Cardinal Climber seedlings - 10 days

Dubai UAE zone 11 March 2003

Grows full sun to partial shade. Attracts Hummingbirds.

Growing in Rockingham, NC.. This plant is planted in high acidic soil. Seems to be doing great. We had to put 2 arches on top of each other and stake it down on all 4 sides, to keep it standing when ever it storms.. The hummingbirds and butterflies love it....

Someone helped me by showing me how to find the seeds, so I thought I'd add this picture to help others.
