Taken April 21st, Tampa, Florida - This plant has not completely stopped blooming since September. Badly in need of pruning I just can't bring myself to cut off all the buds

Mexican Sunflower (perennial)

Tithonia diversifolia / Mexican Sunflower - HUGE bushes reach 10-12 feet and higher if not trimmed, covered in fragrant yellow flowers. Easy to propagate from cuttings/seeds.

Sunflowers for Winter! Now this is a big plant & you have to have the room for it, but wow - it’s a stunner & fragrant, too!

The first flowers, well the bottom anyway. Soon some blooms will be out low enough for me to get a ladder and picture the top of them. zone 9b Winter Springs, FL

Mexican Sunflower in the Quarry Gardens at Te Puna, Tauranga, NZ

This is my tree in the beginning of June after I cut it down to the ground in late Feb. Already over roof line of house.

This is how the leaves look at the bottom every year, the reason some give this a neutral rating. Zone 9bFL
