These are the flowers up close... not in perfect focus, though

seed pods in August, So Cal... hard to harvest these seeds as the squirrels usually get them first

This one grows in the Buenos Aires City Botanical Garden. Perhaps it's the humidity we have here, I don't know, but they don't grow very tall.

This beautiful tree grows in the grounds of one of the colleges attached to the University of Western Australia and is a real traffic stopper.

This photo was taken looking out from the trunk.

Flowers on the ground. A black seed pod can be seen on the left of the photo. The seeds are highly irritant and gloves should always be worn when handled.
