Monstera Deliciosa

In the subtropics this plant fruits abundantly, and the fruit is delicious. As it ripens about an inch a day, it is eaten at the same rate.

This one is crawling up a very tall slash pine tree in my front yard. That white goop on the leaves is pine sap. Vanice, Florida, October 2003

I've had this plant a year, I've transplanted it twice and it doesn't bat an eye

Monstera deliciosa

I just got back from a garden tour in Victoria, Tx and I was able to see a Split-leaf Philodendron getting ready to bloom.

After years and years of never flowering, it has finally flowered and I'll have fruit soon

Here is the best fruit one can taste, It takes way over 1 year to mature, but it's worth the wait. sure is deliciosa as the name sais, the taste is a mixture of banana and pineapple.
