Striped Squill, Snowdrift, Early Stardrift (Puschkinia libanotica)

Very close view.

Striped Squill

Very pleasing shade of pastel blue, dainty flowers, nice spring color.

Unopened buds. Tiny seedlings are seen at bottom left: I encourage this.

Interesting striped buds at emergence.

Seedpods (unripe) to the left, seedlings from last year's pods to the right. Definately naturalizes.

Puschkinia - scilloides var. libanotica

One of my favorite spring bulbs.

After 10 years in this shady place, heavy clay, low-nitrogen, they have spread rather modestly.
