Hibiscus, Rose of Sharon, Shrub Althea (Hibiscus syriacus)

Very low maintenance shrub that blooms profusely!

Gift from cousin in Magnolia Springs, AL. This is the first good blooming season in 3 years. I recently moved the plant to a sunnier and dryer spot. I\\\'m guessing it\\\'s happy.

Blooming on a small 2 year old plant. Many more buds on it too!!

H. syriacus trained as a multi-branched tree, currently 7.5 feet high. Unique!

This 8 foot tall Hibiscus syriacus (Rose of Sharon) is growing in a neighbor's yard in Endwell, NY (picture used with permission). The trunk is at least 8" in diameter - unique and beautiful, especially when flowering!
