Banksia Species, Showy Banksia (Banksia speciosa)

A very large bloom.

Entire flower is this color unlike many others from this family.

Speciosus means showy which this flower is. Another beauty from Australia.

New growth is velvety brown and very attractive.

The reverse is a silvery color that really adds interest.
