Blooming in greenhouse January 2004. Flowers are very tiny, but fascinating if viewed with a hand lens or other magnification.

Here is a close up view of the bulb-like part of the plant.

This is a very mysterious type of plant that most people really enjoy looking at.

Beautiful silver squill in bloom...

I love how each year the older bulbs go horizontal and the new growth covers the exposed bases.

The seperated "bulbs" root easily and are soon growing.
