Japanese Maple 'Katsura' (Acer palmatum)

A poor picture but you can see the bright orange spring growth

Fall-foliage of 'Katsura'

This amazing little tree has been placed in a prominent spot in my entry-way!!

Firey spring color, very early, and tends to get a bit fried if exposed to heavy frost. Lovely though, good fall color as well, w/ great reddish-orange twigs in winter!
