Photinia Species, Fraser Photinia, Red-Tipped Photinia, Red Tops (Photinia x fraseri)

This Photinia fraseri was photographed in a garden in Albuquerque NM on 05 May 2002. It has large white blossoms.

This was taken in October so doesn't show the beautiful red tips but gives a nice example of how it can keep it's shape with twice yearly heavy pruning with electric pruner. Makes a great privacy hedge.

Entomosporium Leaf Spot on a Frasier Photinia... what is probably going to kill my 40 bushes. Yes, this is on one of mine.

A portion of the Red-tips along the back fence in my back yard. All of them are trimmed up from the bottom like this.

"Limbed up" to grow as a tree. I love it- except for the swarms of bees.

Never been pruned, this plant is about 12 ft tall. This is early April in Z8.

Not in full bloom yet, with red tips still prominent. Early April in Zone 8.

CLose up of the blooms.
