Cistus, Orchid Rock Rose, Sun Rose (Cistus x purpureus)

The shrub has a succession of showy flowers each lasting just one day. There are enough flowers each day to cover the shrub at the height of its flowering season, and to make an attractive sprinkling either side of this.

This shrub seems to tolerate some drought as well as moist.Does not like hard pruning.
